When in relational communication, people tend to behave, express, communicate in order to reduce the uncertainty with the other party. There are three basic ways people seek information about another person:
  • Passive strategies
  • Active strategies
  • Interactive strategies
    • Self-monitoring is a behavior where we watch and strategically manipulate how we present ourselves to others.
